![]() I would like to attend a JeepSkool event. How do I join in on the FUN? Step 1 Register on the forum at http://www.JeepSkool.com . It's FREE! Step 2 Members (Drivers) attend a Mandatory "Skool" Session. FREE day of event. Step 3 Enjoy a JeepSkool event! “Skool” will cover the property rules and basic recovery techniques. “Skool” classes will also be held on separate days. 'Skool" class dates will be NON TRAIL RIDE DAYS. By PRE “SKOOLING“, you will have been "Skooled" and will be first out on the trails. Class dates and fees are posted on the forums. "Skool" classes will also be held on the day of the JeepSkool event trail rides and is Mandatory for ALL DRIVERS to enter the property. Expect a two hour delay before hitting the trails on JeepSkool event days. Your one time "Skool" will be good for all of 2009. We reserve the right to revoke this privilege at any time. So to clarify… You will have two choices to be "Skooled". And "Skool" is MANDATORY for all Drivers! You can attend the morning of the JeepSkool trail ride event. Or, you can be Pre-Skooled! If you attend a "Skool", you will be pre registered, and get to be one of the first out on the trails on JeepSkool trail ride event days. If you choose to go to "Skool" the morning of an event, expect a two hour delay before hitting the trails. This one skool will be good for all of 2009. Can I attend JeepSkool in my stock 4wd vehicle or lightly modified daily driver? YES! You do not need a monster 4x4 to enjoy the property. There are many trails/areas for new drivers to explore. Tow hooks/points and a proper tow strap are recommended. Many areas do require 31" tires or larger. Skilled divers are available to guide all JeepSkool attendee's. Do I need a winch and CB radio in my truck? No, however it is strongly recommended that these items become your first modification to your vehicle. JeepSkool operates on CB channel 4. You will need a winch to go on some trails. We suggest that you ALWAYS stay with a fellow 4x4. Skilled divers are available to guide all JeepSkool attendee's. If I paid my admission fee on Saturday, do I need to meet at Haylett's Corner store & BP on Sunday? No. Only new attendee's/vehicles need to meet at Haylett's Corner Store & BP. Paid entrants are free to come and go until 9PM on Sunday. Please check IN and OUT at the JeepSkool office. (The Factory) Can I come on Sunday only? Yes. Saturday or Sunday. One day or two. Only new attendees must meet at Haylett's Corner Store on Sunday. If my vehicle breaks down, will it be safe? Yes. I will help you get your vehicle to a safe storage area. You will have a safe work area to fix the problem. Or I will store it for up to 24HRS.ONLY Will the Jeep Skool events be held in the rain/snow/bad weather? Yes! It just makes for more fun! While on a trail ride with others, the guy behind me is no longer there. what do I do? STOP. WAIT. If possible, radio ahead to inform others. Proceed back to aid your fellow trail mate. If all participants adhere to this rule, no man shall be left behind. Keep your buddy in your rear view mirror! Can I arrive late? No. However, I will work with you IN ADVANCE to arrange for your late arrival. Contact me before hand at Robocon@JeepSkool.com . Can we enjoy the property at other times besides Jeep Skool events? Jeep Skool events are held once a month and are open to all JeepSkool.com members. The property is available for scheduling your events at SouthingtonHuntClub.com or contact robocon@JeepSkool.com . This is a private piece of property and is not open to the general public on a daily basis. Anyone caught trespassing will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Do I need to have a Jeep to attend? No. All makes and models (off brands) are welcome. Can I bring my ATV or Motorcycle? NO. Please visit http://www.ATVSkool.com There are hundreds of ATV/Motorcycle only trails for you to enjoy. We have children and pets. Are they able to attend? We are a family friendly park and recommend that you bring your children and pets. There is nothing better in this world then spending a day with the ones you love. Do you have electrical hook-up's for our RV/Motor home? Yes. We have over 30 dedicated RV sites ready for you. Most sites are only $10 for the weekend with your paid JeepSkool pass. Is there a designated spot to set up camp? (tent camping not RV hookups) You may set up camp anywhere on the property or, you may camp at the designated campgrounds. Are there designated spots for fires? (think fire rings like at a state campground) YES. Or you may make your own fire pit at your campsite. Just use commonsense. Are there any restrooms/running water on the property? (for the women-folk) YES. The "factory" has running water and toilets. Port-o-jons are near the campgrounds. A water hose is available at the cabin. I like to fish from my boat. Is that OK? Yes. Your paid weekend pass gives you access to the lakes, swamps and rivers. There is a boat launch in front of The Lake. Can I bring my jet ski/wave runner? Yes. You are welcome to use the lakes for boating, swimming and fishing. I like to shoot my guns and rifles. Are full autos allowed? Yes. You are welcome to use the class III gun range if you have the proper license and own your own equipment. a) You must check in ALL WEAPONS with STAFF UPON ARRIVAL. Period. b) All class III Firearms must have papers. Sheriff’s Dept will be notified of illegal firearms c) All firearms will be presented to staff UNLOADED.MAGAZINE OUT, BOLT OPEN. d) All firearms are to be tagged by staff. e) Anyone who discharges an unregistered firearm will be arrested and your weapon confiscated by the Sheriffs Dept. Period. f) There is ABSOLUTELY NO DISCHARGING OF FIREARMS OUTSIDE of the GUN RANGE!! You WILL be ARRESTED. |
